My CycleGard CG-400-2090 LWCO -24V, isn’t working properly. I will most likely replace it. Does anyone have a replacement recommendation?

McDonald & Miller. is the higher price brand. Taco and HydroLevel are usually a little less expensive. I do not have a preference on the brand. Is this on a steam boiler or a hot water boiler?

Have you checked the condition of the probe inside the boiler. Sometimes the probe is dirty and all you need is to clean the electrode and the part will work like new. If you find the probe maintenance is not working, then this one would do the same job. https://www.supplyhouse.com/Mcdonnell-Miller-153604-LWCO-PSE802-M-U-24-Electronic-24V-Low-Water-Cut-Off-w-Manual-Reset-w-Ext-Barrel-Steam .

If you are looking at a steam boiler, stay away from this type, They are designed for hot water only. They may melt on a steamer. Taco LTR model for water boilers only.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Yes...Its usually just the probe gets cruddy.  The electronics are probably fine UNLESS they got wet .  Mad Dog 🐕

I appreciate it, I’ll try cleaning the probe first. Are there any particular solvents I should use to clean the probe?

If you end up replacing, can replace with the Safgard 400 (45-400). I wouldn't go for the Cyclegard 400 again. Same lwco without the problematic intermittent testing feature.
