BOILER BLOWDOWN SEPARATOR VENT
Weil
Member Posts: 23
I am installing a blowdown separator in a boiler room with no route for the vent to go through the roof. However the boiler room is on an outside wall where the exterior is vacant. This would be the shortest vent route. I would run the vent through the wall at an elevation of about 10 feet for safety. The manual says "use common sense as to venting termination. Does anyone see a problem with this?

If you go through the outside wall (provided the inspector lets you) I would discharge into a tee and I would oversize the riser and the tee from the tee drop down to 6" above the ground. and the other end of the tee go up.
That way no one gets burned by steam or water that gets carried over0
