    If you wanted to get a better idea of how much DHW you use, get a meter and connect it to the cold line to the coil or tank.
    There is incentive $$ available in many areas to go with a HPWH. A large tank, 80 gallons, running 140F with mix valve set to 120 should be plenty of water for most families.
    There are HPWH that run on 240V 20 amp, even some that run on 120V 15 amp circuits.
