Need valve for radiator

Hello everyone. This is my current valve and radiator. I think it’s European. Should I replace it with a more common valve that can fit a TRV? I cant find a valve handle to fit it. What valve can I put on to control the heat? Is there a name? Please help.

I am thinking they are Runtal panels, check around for a marking .

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Italian Fondital radiators imported by ModernWarmth sold on wayfair.com (model Blitz)

    Valve is:

Discontinued 2021, so will probably have a difficult time finding it around here. If they were rebranded, they would have been taken off the websites and replaced by now so can't find. I only see remaining stock available for sale in the UK.

But as you are looking for a thermostatic valve, just search for 1/2" angle thermostatic valve. In your case, you have a pex compression fitting so you may not have the space for buying the more common threaded valve then adding a thread x pex adapter. Will need to find similar pex compression valve.

You will need one of each to make a complete valve with pex compression. The dimension from center of valve to end of the radiator side threads is 53.5mm vs 53mm. Will line up fine.

Above is just an option and to get you an idea of what to look for.

You just want a handle that fits that broach, right?

Yes something I can use to control the heat flow.

They are Nova Florida but I do have a Runtal in another room. A lot of the heating mechanisms are European. So finding replacement parts is very difficult.

Sounds like a lot. I would need a plumber or heating professional make that switch.

Sorry, thought you were looking to switch it to a thermostatic valve (automatic) vs manual.

Could eventually find something to fit the existing threads with more research or just trial and error, but you could also find a universal handle replacement that uses a multiple set screw jaw to retrofit over the stem.

Maybe wait until @hot_rod sees this, he is usually good with parts for european stuff.

That’s still an option. If I can’t find a handle then my next option would be to switch it out with a TRV.
