Hi All,

I'm trying to Swap EWC control zone panel w Honeywell HZ311 .. Current setup is 2 zones master and slave. I'm using nest smart theormostate , but I have to flip the switch from teh zone panel if I need toswitch from hot to cold ( AC to Heat) .

I have It's forced-air AC/heat - 1 furnace - uses LP - No backup system.

I numbered the wires on the EWC panel on the left ( see picture) and moved these numbers to the HZ311 in the picture .. please take a look and let me know if this wire mapping is correct .

I will leave the EWC dampers in the duct as is ( is that OK ? )

for the the zones and thermostate, it's 1:1 , so I'm hoping no issues there ..

Thanks in advance.

You should power the zone panel with a dedicated 40 va transformer. And eliminate the summer/winter switch.

To 5 and 6 in your picture.

That will power the Zone panel, thermostats, and the dampers.

The equipment transformer will provide power and switching for the air handler.

If you just wire the thermostats to their corresponding R,C,W,Y,G, then you don't need the summer/winter switch.

This is the HZ322 but same principal.
