Anyone ever heard of a Hoffman no.10 vent?

I ordered a Hoffman no.40 vent on Amazon, had good reviews. Recieved what looks a lot like a no.40, but the embossed label on it says "Hoffman no.10". Are these the same thing?

    Hello @emaydeoh,

The #10 in the chart below is a Main Vent (Old). I suspect the vent you have is either labeled wrong (a Blem) or possiblly Hoffman decided to reuse the number or it is counterfeit.

Does it have a tongue? That's the small metal piece that hangs out of the screw connector.

    Retired and loving it.

I like the #40 Hoffman is a Tried and true company. When I did my steam Vapor system from scratch in Early 2000s I asked Dan what the finest brand of radiator service valve was..."HOFFMAN!" So true...23 yrs that shout off , hold and turn like new...you can easily tell the difference in quality. Mad

It looks exactly like the vents my inlaws had on their whole house radiators.

Mother inlaw said if you wanted to turn the heat off you rotated the vent upside down if I remember right-mind you I could be wrong about that too.
