Difference between traps

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference between a Hoffman H-series f&t and a bucket style f&t.
I tend to see the H series on coils and the buckets on the supply drips.
Can the bucket style f&t be used at the end of a steam coil on an air handler?
Do they hold up better than the H-series?
Also, I noticed Hoffman traps seem to fail quicker than a Mepco, has anyone had this same experience?
thanks,
Brian

F & Ts handle air removal better than buckets. I used to prefer Watson McDaniel myself. I usually stayed away from buckets unless it was high pressure steam. F & Ts are recommended for air handlers0
