I just installed a GE 29 gallon hot water heater when I light the pilot it lights and when I hold it for a 1 minute it stays lit but when I start to turn the knob when it reaches the almost the low setting it goes out. Please help me HVAC gods. Do I need to clean out the intake or do I need to replace a part what should I do. I have been taking cold water showers and I'm ready to stay home and not even go to work and maybe lose my job because I just can't handle it anymore I'm freezing and I'm feeling dirty. Please help me! Sincerely , COLD AND DESPERATE.

Hi, This might be a warranty problem. Call the manufacturer’s helpline and see what they have to say. It sounds like a bad control to me, but they should have a troubleshooting protocol for this.
