System 2000 domestic hot water

Hi Larry, The system is not keeping up with hot water while taking a shower. After running the shower for 3or 4 minutes the water coos rather quickly. I suddenly have more shower water pressure but less duration of hot water. Thanks

Hi @grumpy47 , Have you tried a crossover test to see if the problem might be out in the plumbing somewhere?

When is the last time the plate heat exchanger was properly flushed?
There was an error rendering this rich post.

Thank you for your question, @grumpy47 .
Very little heat is reaching your (likely) 40 gallon or larger storage tank. If you have a continuous call for hot water on the manager, it is not your tank thermostat. If you have a plate heat exchanger, it could be the domestic bronze circulator or possibly a fouled plate heat exchanger.
Your heating pro can probably figure it out quickly.
Hot water diagnostics start on p.18 in this hot water manual.
