Thermostat

I have 2 thermostat for hydronic heating system. It has 3 wire for thermostat, red, black and white. One thermostat has 24 vac on red and white and black wire has around 10 volts. And on other thermostat has 24 volts on red and black wire and white has around 10 volts. Before I never check voltage and was using red and white wire for both thermostat. Now one circulator is not running. Other one I am running on red and black wire. And one on red and white wire. This is the reason one circulator fail ? Please help, thanks.

The problem is in the wiring or the thermostat that was used . We would have to know what the wire connect to at the other end ....

There was an error rendering this rich post.

I wonder what the black wire is connected to on the thermostat? I wonder what the other end of the black wire is connected to?
    Also
I wonder what the red wire is connected to on the thermostat? I wonder what the other end of the red wire is connected to?
    and finally.
I wonder what the white wire is connected to on the thermostat? I wonder what the other end of the white wire is connected to?

But I have lots of questions like that
    Like
What kind of thermostat has a Black wire connected to it? or a Red wire or even a White wire.

Are there any other colors of wire in the system? Is there any Green wires or Blue wires? If so where are they connected? And does the wire color make a difference in the voltage?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
