Steam Air Vent

Why is the best steam air vent for a long steam baseboard? Sometimes when I put my heat on, the steam baseboard doesn’t get hit until I manually loosen the air vent and some air comes out.

Hoffman Specialty 508 vents are the best vents if you don't use additional piping to allow for the installation of a traditional radiator air vent. (the hole on the nut should be installed facing down)

You can install more than one air vent on the baseboard. If you don't have an additional tapping you may be able to drill and tap another hole. Or you could vent the supply riser. But the first step would be to make sure you main venting is adequate.0
