Hey everyone, i had posted a thread a few weeks back about my gas boiler making noise when i call for heat. Just had a service tech come out and immediately upon hearing the noise he knew it was the noise of sediment flopping around in the boiler. He said he didnt carry the sediment cleaning solution on the truck as it freezes, and we are in chicago. he saw all the work that i have done to the boiler and recommended i buy it myself and pour it in the system from the top of the boiler where my pressure relief valve is.

he said its not a flushing solution so its supposed to stay in the system and help clean it out. he did say its hit or miss if it will actually work and they would charge $-$ to do it. he did say he has heard much worse noises from sediment before.

what do you guys think? i have read an article about flushing the boiler from the drain valve too.

here is the link to the thread i posted a few weeks back that has some pictures of the boiler if anyone is curious.
