Steam coil piping

I just wanted to get some feedback from the steam pros on this one. The copper steam coils in the air handlers in the building now are using threaded by solder dielectric unions to transition from the iron to copper, 50% of the unions leak. I want to get rid of the dielectric unions and use threaded brass flanges with flexitallic gaskets instead. Steam pressure is approx. 10 psig. Any input or a better way of doing this would be appreciated. Thank you.

That's the way to go. Black flanges will work fine on steam with copper coils no issue but if you want brass that is fine.
If the pipe is under 2" I would use a 250 or 300# union just because they are higher quality. I have never seen a dielectric problem with steam using black pipe with copper coils. They never should have used dielectric unions I doubt they are steam rated1 -
Thank you for the response Ed.0
