I am looking for insight into the age of my boiler. I am guessing it is pre-1929 since the plate doesn't use "Standard" yet. I haven't been able to find a breakdown of the old ARCO serial numbers. Can anyone here share their expertise?

Look inside the Honeywell switching Relay, sometimes they are dated. Black cover control next to the 24 VAC transformer above the boiler.
My guess is after 1942 before 1950.Edward Young Retired
After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

It is listed here on page 18 of the Beacon Boiler book. "White pages boilers before 1959".
Listed as obsolete back then. So it was old in 1959.
