I know its an old system, but trying to make it through the winter and get a new furnace next summer. The issue is, when zone 2 thermostat is turned on, the furnace will start up and start heating the house. After a random amount of time, the flame shuts off on the furnace, but the fan continues to run. Then zone 1 will not heat anymore. Shutting off the power to the furnace for a minute, resets everything and it go through the same scenario as above.
I replaced the zone 2 thermostat and still had the same results. Shutting off zone 2, allows zone 1 to operate normally. Shutting off zone 1 and running only zone 2, results in the same scenario again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
