Flexcon Argosy Series Buffer Tank

Hello all,
I was looking into different brand buffer tanks and I came across the models described in the title. I would like to know if any of you have used this brand and what do you think of it? I like the flexibility of piping options with this one as with many others. I especially like the fact that it is a composite tank, first one I've come across. I'm hoping some of you have some experience with them and can chime in.
I think @hot_rod has mentioned this brand, but can't remember where. I know I have seen some videos where John Siegenthaler mentions this brand also.
Thanks

I like the concept of a composite tank for weight, longevity, less sweat, etc.
The only downside I see is a bit of the tank capacity on top and bottom is stranded by the connection location.
I'd be tempted to use the top and drain ports and do a 2 pipe buffer. But I tend to color outside the lines:)Bob "hot rod" Rohr

Thanks @hot_rod, I see what you mean about the top and bottom and limiting capacity a little. Maybe the side ports should've been designed higher and lower. I like your idea of using the drain port for extracting the coolest water and the top port for the hottest water, gives you the full capacity of the tank.
I don't know how long they have been on the market, but have you come across any other professionals commenting on the longevity of the tank?0 -
I only know of one installed on a heat pump, for a few years.
How does it compare to the Boiler Buddy?? Cost, warranty, etc.
I like the tall skinny and connection location on the BB.Bob "hot rod" Rohr

How creative are you willing to get?
A standard electric water heater. Remove the two elements. Screw in 1" male X 1-1/4 copper adapters and pipe a 2 pipe buffer tank.
Insulated, glass lined 300 psi test tank, all sizes available. May 600 bucks for a 50 gallon buffer tank.
Read about tank piping options here.
