Laars endurance boiler “rty” code

Periodically my laars boiler goes to fire and then stops around 140 deg. There is a auditable noise of the ignition turning off. The display shows a “rty” code and this cycle repeats itself until I hit the manual reset button. I didn’t see this code in the laars manual, so I am not sure what the problem could be. Thanks for any advise.

Non published codes happen from time to time. Sometimes the manufacturer does not even know about them. When confronted with these unpublished codes the manufacturer goes back to the control maker to ask what they mean. This happened to Weil McLain with the first Ultra series to such an extent that they had to publish a revised control supplement to cover all the stuff the control maker did not tell them about.

If your boiler is many years old, there is someone that knows what that means, My experience with Trianco Heat Maker and Laars was limited to about 5 customers, 2 of them had Endurance models. If you are talking about a different Laars model, then I have no experience with them. You will need to contact Laars Tech Support for the info on the unpublished fault code.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
