    Looks like an f&t trap. Not familiar with brand. Name is printed on top of valve

    Correct. It's a Webster 0026 I believe, from the 1920s. If it malfunctions, best to replace it with a 6-bolt type, which is much easier to service.

    Clearly no one has serviced that in about 10 coats of paint. Or the strainer.
