After having to replace this cartridge several times over the years I am beginning to wonder if there are any alternatives. At first, it was obvious that the water treatment was gumming up the cartridge. Now after having changed the water treatment system and having gone for several years without having to replace a cartridge I am beginning to wonder why it is still gumming up. VCZZ1100
