Near piping
12 copper convectors with Steam heat. Radiators 388 sq" - mains pipes not included.
I noticed the Weil Mclain PE45 installation instructions show:
Boiler riser 2" Only has one riser, not two.
Header 2.5"
Does not show a dropped header
Should I insist on the header being larger and insist on 2 boiler risers with a dropped header? Or should I just go with what's on the installation instructions?
Thanks in advance

Always follow the manufacturers instructions. I install penco boilers and on 150,000 btus and under I can one pipe it but anything over I have to use two pipes coming out the boiler.0

If the manufacturer minimum piping instructions are met, you will be fine if the boiler is skimmed properly.
If you want two risers and a dropped header you should pay xtra for it. IMHO it is not necessary0
