Carlin gas control model 60200fr

Encountered problems ever since we bought our house.  Previous owner converted an oil burner to gas to hot water that we use for our heating and domestic hot water. We continually get lockouts.  Again, novice with no hvac experience here.  Had several companies come and essentially put band aids on the system.  

Let me generalize, there’s a call for heat, sounds like the system wants to flame to fire up then shuts down and I’m left with a continually sound of gas or air being forced into the boiler.  Solution has been to push reset button and that has worked 99% of time.  Tonight I got this message for first time “ua low ck frod”  then kept getting “recycle” and “recycle limit”.  I could not get system to shut off so I literally turned off power to unit waited a minute and turned back on and now it displays “stand by”  which I understand is a good thing.  Sorry for length of post and thanks in advance for any help.

microamps too low. check flame rod. that is your error code. remove flame rod and clean, also inspect for cracks. reinstall and check microamps during start up. it is sometimes easier to just replace while you have it out but cleaning is all it needs most of the time. also make sure you ground wires are all secured

As @pedmec said. “uA Low ck FRod” = microamp Low check Flame Rod. Or the flame has an issue and has poor contact with the Flame Rod.

Also it appears the unit retains some fault history.
