steam humidifier: is Condair(Nortec) RH2 better than Aprilair800, and why?

Hi...we have hot water heat and are looking to add a steam humidifier. We are focusing on electrode only, not resistive.
The Aprilaire 800 (865 with blower) is widely praised. Condair RH2 is about $800 more expensive (in quote from installer), and also the disposable cylinders are currently $216 compared to Aprilaire's $95. (We will avoid the Condair Humilife.)
I realize that more expensive may be better in principle, but is it really? Why? What are the technical differences justifying the higher price of the RH2? Their web pages don't say. (Not as interested in "works well for me" type first person reports---I believe both types work well unless they fail.)
I am a homeowner, but I understand some/many technical terms. I would be very grateful for any specifics. Many thanks!
