In a replacement job I want to bring my consentric reducer 2”. Into the laundry/mechanical room. Cant a person use standard couplings and extend the end ? It won’t be over the recommended or limit of the vent total length as it would just add on at 1:1 feet no ells or allowances

Don't know exactly what you are doing but it sounds ok0

Do you want to expend the 2 pipes going to the concentric vent assembly or extend the concentric itself?
IIRC, the instructions for concentric vents allow you to extend the assembly only if there is no coupling inside the larger inlet pipe.
I believe they want you to use a full piece for the inside exhaust pipe.
Apparently the added OD of the coupling can restrict the air flow.....seems cutting it close for area/friction.0
