Replace Taco 571 Powerhead or new Sentry and Zone Controller

We currently have two Taco 571 zone valves, one had the power head replaced 7-10 years ago and it is gold colored. The other still has a green power head that looks to be original? The already replaced (gold) power head has failed again. Should we just buy another power head and replace it or would it be more beneficial to just get two sentry valves and a Zone controller like the ZVC404-4? Obviously one is going to cost more than the other, I'm just curious if it's worth the increased cost?

Probably not worth the cost. To drain the sys, solder in a Taco Sentry and add, wire, a ZV controller, I would think not unless you're Howard Hughes. Boy am I old.

If you have a thermostat that has the ability to set the anticipator on it, make sure it is set at .9. The 571 uses a lot of power and if it is set wrong, can burn these up prematurely.

Thank you, I'll just replace the power head then. They're both digital thermostats so based on my limited Googling there is no anticipator?
