Morning....have a friend in need of a possibly obsoleted water heater for a old National Radiator boiler. There are two 6" flanges on the back of the boiler that the water heater (which is a rectangular box with eight studs..4 studs for each flange) gets indirectly heated to the coil inside the box. Dimensionally maybe 17" tall, 14" long x6" deep is the box. Boiler in great shape for age....water heater ugly...not leaking...YET!!
Any help greatly appreciated.

You can take the water heater coil box off and wash the sludge out of it. Not an easy job. It's heavy and the bolts might break and who knows how the gasket surface is.0
