New Gorton no. 1 main vent spitting steam

Options
Two weeks ago I replaced two very old main vents (Hoffman I think) with Gorton no 1’s.

today I noticed one is spitting steam once the boiler is on for about 5-10 mins.

Is this a defective vent? Should I replace with another Gorton no 1 or is this a sign I need another kind of vent?

Sounds like it's bad. Gorton is really good about replacing any that don't work.

Added info: if the boiler is running for a short cycle no issues. Seems to only happen when the thermostat kicks up for our return home.

These two main vents are not mounted on the elbow, has a 6” run of pipe to both vents.
