Need to add a Smart thermostat to a 2 wire system

I currently have an EK2 with 3 two wire thermostats. I need to replace the main thermostat with a smart WIFI thermostat. Can I add a 24 volt transformer separate from the EK2 and run that to the new thermostat while using the existing 2 wires to communicate with the boiler? Thank you in advance.

See the attached drawing. Disregard where it says "Taco relay" Use the two wires from the rib relay to control the ek. the yellow and orange wires. you can order the transformer and relay from Supply House .com
This in my opinion is the only way to make the Nest reliable0 -

why connect the new transformer back? Argo's isolating relay just has 2 wires going back to the relay board. connection from the new transformer is just to power the thermostats https://argocontrols.com/products/switching-relays-accessories/ir882-isolation-relay-3-zonesEBEBRATT-Ed said:See the attached drawing.
