Replacing radiator air vents

I have three radiator air vents that are at least 16 years old and won't stop venting when they come up to temperature. 2 are maid-o-mist no.4 and 1 is a Gorton D. Since I've had good luck in they past with Gorton and Hoffman but not MoM, I thought of replacing the MoM4 with Hoffman 40 and the Gorton D with another Gorton D. I saw the H40 had slightly higher venting rate than the MoM4. Is this a good course to take? Other choices or recommendations?

It's unusual to find a Gorton or M-o-M #D vent on anything but a radiator of 100 Square feet or so. First thing I'd do is check and likely upgrade your main vents. All Steamed Up, Inc.

Steamhead, thanks. Two 2" mains of about 20' each that are each vented by a Gorton #1 vent. The radiator with the Gorton D is about 32 sqft EDR, and I always thought it weird but didn't want to mess with whatever balance was achieved years ago.0
