Unusual System to Purge the Air

Hello,

The system stopped sending water to the 3rd floor and I can hear air in the basement. I am assuming it is related.

I have not had a system like this in my house, I am used to the standard with the 4 spickets, not like this where it looks like they are combined at some point.

Can anyone draw on my photo if you know where I should hook the hose and which valves to turn off.

Thanks!

Can’t really see the piping too well from that angle.
What’s the system pressure, IOW, is there enough water in the system to get it up to the 3rd floor?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

that looks like 4 zones, returning on the right,
the supply on the left, where does that split out to 4?
    are there valves there?
or can you hook up and purge to the right of the x tank?

close the gate valve to the right of the expansion tank, open one zone at a time, open the boiler drain to the right of the gate valve and it will purge through the fill at the boiler and out that drain. will have to open a fast fill lever if that is the type of prv you have.

if there are any flow checks you will have to open them.

you should figure out where that condensation is coming from on the vent too or maybe it is a roof leak.

Where's the feed valve and where is it piped in?
