Oil Hot Water Boiler Vacuum Hack

Last cleaning I used a friends Vacuum which isn't available now. Can I convert one of those drum type vacuums to be able to clean up the soot using hepa filters and special bags...In theory can this be done?..Those professional type soot cleaners must use some special filters and bags.

I'd also take suggestions on what vacuum to buy that is made for this...but have don't intend on using it every day so the cost might be prohibitive.

This is the throw away refill bag (Primary Filter)

But this may be more affordabel for once in a while use.

thanks Ed, i'll check some of this out...the ash vac...doesn't that have a cloth type filter and no bag...not sure...saw one before...only would use for cleaning now and then...but would it be a job in itself to clean it up after use?
