Gas leak detector

I am considering purchasing a gas leak detector for natural gas. Price is of course a consideration, however my main goal is reliability. Please share what you prefer.

I was afraid no one on the site uses a "sniffer" to detect natural gas and I suppose I was correct.

My reason for the interest was I lost my sense of smell in January 2020 (before we new much about Covid). I assumed my sense of smell would come back and to date it has not. I am currently being treated by a ear nose and throat doctor that is uncertain if I'll be able to smell again. Not being able to smell when working with natural gas on a regular basis is troublesome at best. Also not being able to smell smoke, oil, etc. is an issue. Not that is matters, but I can have the sense of taste.

Unless things change I'll be investing in a natural gas sniffer.

It's worked nicely for me, for years. My nose still works, but this is much more sensitive.

@ScottSecor I have a testo 316-1 unit. Pretty simple. Works wells enough for me. Pretty sensitive.
