I came across this guy a year ago. He has some interesting solar collectors in Ukraine. The climate seems northern and has snow.

That setup looks pretty sophisticated. May not have cost much material $ to built but I bet he had a bunch of labor into it.
He must be relatively well off, that’s a nice home and I’m not sure even Jed had a clay tennis court! 🤓0 -
Redneck was a compliment coming from me. ;-) I found it very clever. I recall one system of his had presets where he changed the angle of the trough every month.
