Wiring R7284 for furnace

I'm replacing a white Roger 668-601 with Honeywell R7284. Anytime I hook up the blue ignitor spade the display goes blank but comes back once removed. It will fire and run this way but will not shut off even though the thermostat stops calling for heat. Has anyone wired this in before. I have power and ground coming in, a 2 wire motor, 2 wire cad sensor, 2 wire ignitor and, the 2 wire thermostat wires

Well it's wired wrong. You need constant power on L1, and whatever was bringing in power before, coming from the aquastat (boiler), fan/limit (furnace) needs to land on Limit.
Then blue wire on ignitor
Purple wire, on oil valve if you have one
Orange on motor.
All the whites on L2
Cad cell wires on F-F
ground should only be hooked to electrical box.
Then you have to know how to properly program it.
A wiseman, would've had a professional do it. Hopefully you didn't fry something. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Do you have the control programmed for pre purge? Without an oil valve, it must be set to 0 valve on delay and 0 off burner delay.0
