NTI FTVN vs VMAX

Hi,
I'm a homeowner looking between two equal cost bids to replace a boiler. One bid is a FTVN and bid from another company is VMAX. Both are 95%, 110 MBH. The FTVN is newer technology and the VMAX has been around a while so perhaps we know more long term about that one? Any advice or experience appreciated while I sort out the bids.
Thanks!
Scott

The Vmax isn't exactly being phased out, but its not getting any of the new bells and whistles. The FTVN has built in WiFi and will email you and your installer with issues it has like when it locks out. It is less money to buy and very simple to work on. The vmax is good but not as good, it has a tank internally and gives faster hot water and the ability to not fire every time you need a shot or two of hot water.
I have a FTVN in my place and like it so far. Installed both and would recommend FTVN, selfishly for my back, since the FTVN weighs much more!Tom
