Hot water boiler static temp drop

I have a Tarm Excel 2000 combi gas/propane and wood boiler. I bought the boiler new to me last year and have been running it for heat and domestic hot water via 80 gallon indirect super stor.
In the summer we useit soley for domestic hot water on propane no wood. the questions I hope to get help with are;
what's a reasonable amount of cycles per day for this unit? seems to cycle ever 3-4 hours with no call from the super stor, just sitting static. the temp is set to 180 on the aquastat. we have consumed quite a bit of propane this summer just keeping the boiler at 180.
wondering if this is just not a great summer setup or I'm losing efficiently some where ?
even in the night evening the unit still cycles 4-5 with no load to keep the boiler at 180.

180 seems to hot just to make hot water in the summer. 140 would be better0
