Hello,
I have a JR Smith Floodgate (7140) that was not maintained (i.e., moved) properly over the years. During Hurricane Ida it failed to operate and I had "water" coming in through my basement shower and toilet. I tried to use the T-handle to move the gate and it is fairly well stuck. Any ideas about how to move it/repair it? Or does this mean I need to replace the Floodgate?
I spoke with the manufacturer and they recommended lubricating it, which I will do, but I wondered if anyone had any experience/success in freeing stuck Floodgates.
Thank you,
Andrew
