Increase in noise

Edit* I have a tech coming tomorrow to service it. That's for the reply.

The other night I lost heat and through troubleshooting found the ignition transformer to be bad. I replaced the Beckett ignition transformer and have had issues since. I had white smoke coming out of the chimney which I moved the air fins and now it seems to be burning more cleanly. However, I do notice that the oil burner sounds a lot louder when it's running. Almost like a freight train and it seems to have more of a vibration than it ever did. Is this something I should be concerned about or since there's a new ignition transformer is it getting a better burn now? I appreciate all the advice ahead of time.

White smoke could be a plugged nozzle or too much air.

You really need to get a tech with a combustion test.

    This is not DIY

You moved the "air fins". If you remember, put it back the way it was and get a pro. White smoke could be condensation. Could be a cracked or leaking block?
Come back with the techs diagnosis/repair and combustion report. Interested in knowing what the issue was.
But no more touchy for you. HOT! HOT!
