Relocating Steam riser

I need to move a 3” steam riser approximately 7’ extra heavy cast fittings and black pipe What are your thoughts about mega press

Mega Press is approved for LP steam but then again so is Propress. The manufacturers have a way of getting anything approved.
Most here don't like it for steam I think.
I can certainly understand the relative ease of installing it compared to 3" threaded or welded.
So I guess the choice is yours.
Personally for a small job I wouldn't want to lug a 3" threader and everything else you need. If I had a way to measure it and have it cut at a supply house or at the shop that would be my preference. If not I would probably use Mega Press0 -
You need to install double elbow swings. I don’t think mega press will hold cyclical turning loads well. Also, you need to provide anker supports.Gennady Tsakh
