Onex 160B Bypass Valve Setting

In normal operation, should the manual Bypass Valve on an Onex 160B with 7 zones of radiant heating be open or closed? Reference "Suggested piping and wiring connections for the 160B Models 45AN and 45EN", page 23, Bypass Valve #7. https://www.houseneeds.com/upload/pdf/embassy-onexboilermanual.pdf

I have installed a number of these. They were ok.
I have done the bypass set only on baseboard set ups where the loops were short. Typically the ball valve was set to 1/2 way.
If you are doing radiant floor you really need to be piping the boiler Primary/ Secondary.
One loop just for the boiler one for the radiant.... Closely spaced tees or a hydro separator.
