7” WM Snug Baseboard question..
Crispy
Member Posts: 17
I salvaged 2 Weil McLain Snug baseboards out of a house. A 6’ and 4’. I am not finding any info on the 7”. Did they stop making it? Can anyone give me some BTU numbers I can use to see if this is enough or too much for my bedroom application? Thanks in advance. Lots of good help here. C.

sorry to say, that information is sitting in a book on a shelf in some old supply house storage shed. You can call tech support at Weil McLain and maybe there is an old guy who can find that book and email you a copy of the sheet.
Here is a similar discussion from 2007 https://forum.heatinghelp.com/discussion/112253/7-tall-cast-iron-baseboard-ratings
I'm not sure if the 7/9th idea was real of sarcasm, but it might get you close

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

That 3.4 SF number is Sq. Ft. of cast iron per lineal, right? I'm using 90 BTU/sq.ft. cast iron at 140F. Do I have that right? Thanks!0

Most all baseboard is rated at 500BTU per foot at 180. Should be close enough for you.0

These are the ratings for Burnham’s 7”. I imagine they’re pretty close.Steve Minnich0
