Any reason not to hang a air handler under a house that has one side open with just a lattice type wall on one side that would be at least 10' from the unit Aprox 4' high lattice.

If the unit is rated for outdoor installation—no problem.
If not, wind driven rain will do nasty things to the steel cabinet at least, and possibly to the wiring and controls as well.—
