    Wow!! I've seen plenty that have been dated from a few years back,  I never saw one with that description.

    maybe it was rotated 180 degrees in the same plane to even out the loading unnecessarily , not front to back

    Lol, I had one two weeks ago from 6/2019. I saw it and said "your furnace has been overheating.  The air filter hasn't been changed in a long time. " Her response was,  "I just put that in a couple of months ago." I had to show her the date that I wrote on it the last time I was there and changed it for her. I always do that if it is obvious that the owner leaves the filter in too long.
