which vent?

It seems that I have a bad radiator vent. My varivalve is just leaking steam like crazy, and I am looking to replace it. The radiator in this room is probably undersized and is last to heat up in the house, but I cannot fix that at the moment. With this is mind, would a vent-rite be a bad choice? I was going to go for it since I see it recommended so many times on this forum until I read that vent-rites can be good in situations where the radiator is over-sized for the room...since it is the opposite case for me, any better suggestions? Thank you!!!

Vent rites are good vents. Sounds like you need to fix the underlying cause. Make sure the radiator and the piping are pitched correctly

Pitch is good from what I can tell. Hope a new vent does the trick.
  • Also check your pressure with a low pressure gauge. Your vent may just be overcome with too much pressure.—NBC

Update: replaced the Varivalve with a Hoffman 1A and the problem is solved! Happy that this was a simple fix! Thank you for your advice/suggestions!
