3 season room heating

I am looking to heat a 12x14 3 season room. Right now a split unit is not in my budget. What is the next best option? Is there something I can use at night when no one is sitting in the area?

Three season room by definition is usually not used in the dead of winter. Hence the name Three season.

If all you want is to use the room in the dead cold of winter you might consider a small space heater that operates on natural gas or propane. Even the smallest ones can overheat that small of a space. Try to get one that can be operated by a wired thermostat from across the room. There are space heaters that are non vented that might work for you if the room is well ventilated. If the room is well insulated with good windows and draft-free, then I would opt for a vented heater. I personally get headaches in some applications where non-vented heaters are employed without accounting for adequate ventilation.

See if there is an outlet for these Louisville Tin and Stove products

Or check out the big box stores for something like this.

Walmart, Lowes, and others also have this type of item.

I recommend professional installation on any appliance where natural gas, propane, or a flame is involved.

Electric baseboard while more costly to run is cheap and trouble free and easy to install. And you don't have to worry about it freezing if it is shut off and the room is not being used. They also make small electric a cabinet heaters with a fan

I agree that electric baseboard is the way to go, although more expensive, it's an easy install option for a room such as described. What is your main system for your house though?
