Water boiler banging

I have a customer with a water boiler that I think when it shuts off it bangs almost sounds like a steam boiler bang when the steam hits the water..................or when a zone valve closes but it’s three pumps ( taco with ICV 007 ) 2 baseboard zones and 1 radiant floor I all get measurements later but I think linier feet it’s about 120 feet including return to boiler.
If it was air would I be hearing it all the time like an ocean.

When a water boiler bangs it's because it's boiling internally which is created by a lack of flow. Check your pumps and back off of your aquastat 10° or so and then reassess.Contact John "JohnNY" Cataneo, NYC Master Plumber, Lic 1784
