Uponor EP Manifold - Vent thread size

I would like to install some automatic air-vent on my Uponor EP manifolds.

Any idea what thread type and size the vents are on these guys? Uponor's submittals don't show anything.

I called Uponor USA and surprisingly, they couldn't tell me what thread size it was and stated that they private label the manifold and parts from a manufacturer.

Pretty disappointing and frustrating, since I have seen others mount automatic air vents on these manifolds, but admittedly I can't find a picture to prove it.... yet!

I haven't used plastic manifold for a boiler since InFloor's plastic manifold stations. Gasp.
I ended up replacing them with Caleffi"s manifold stations.

What I would do is take off the end of the manifold, top most cap, drill it for a 1/8" pipe tap in the center, tap it and screw a coin vent into it and put it back on the manifold. I would probably use Lock Tite for a thread sealant or teflon tape.

You can screw in an auto vent if you want. Maybe a Caleffi hydoscopic vent.

@HomerJSmith It already has a manual "coin-vent" style manual bleeder, but I was hoping to screw in a Caleffi auto air vent....

You would have to pull out the guts for the bleeder and then tap the cap.

@HomerJSmith So I finally went downstairs and isolated the manifold, only to discover I can't unscrew the factory supplied bleeder. And at this stage of the winter, I think I'll leave sleeping dogs lay until spring.
