Yes, top valve open, I haven't raised the water level to the top valve yet because the water that is currently in the site glass is still sitting there.
I will go see if I can clear the lower tapping - you're probably right.0 -

Ok good deal, the sight glass skim is less effective because it's a smaller opening so be patient.
I will also note that the sight glass drain valve like Gordo suggests in that sight glass installation video is very good for preventing the buildup in that lower tapping. When I blow down from that valve there is always a notable amount of sediment in there that would otherwise just sit and ossify.0
