I have the old style cast iron radiators so i bought one right now locally which has a hole in the bottom. Do they sell just the threaded pipe with the nut so i can make the radiator able to attach to my home heat pipe. i know i have to remove the old pipe that is on the radiator first but can't find anyone that sells just the threaded pipe with nut

You need to match the nut with the elbow or valve threads. They are not interchangeable. It is unlikely that you will find a nut that will match your existing fitting.
look at these fittings and valves.

They also make a wrench to install them into the radiator.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
