What are the benefits of the motor off delay? I have a Beckett Genisys controller.

It's called postpurge. It keeps the burner head cleaner by blowing air through the burner and exhausting it up the flue

Also prevents nozzle overheating and keeps everything nice and clean. the official term has been changed to motor or fan off delay

If you're using motor-off delay, you also need two "hot" wires feeding the GeniSys- one that goes through the safety limit controls and one that does not. If your unit already has this feature, great. If not and you're looking to upgrade, call a pro.
