wiring zone valves help

Hello!
The guy that installed my heating system years ago left a wiring nightmare. I am looking to clean it up now, so I am looking for some suggestions. I have 5 zone valves up and 4 down, right now he has all the ones up twisted together then sending one wire down to the relay. The ones down pretty much the same, only one relay and transformer. Hot water also runs off this relay, any suggestions would be great. I was looking at control modules but they only seem to come in 4 and 6 zone sizes. can you chain them together somehow?

Yes you can chain them together.

A ZVC-404 and a ZVC-406 EXP, or vice-versa will do the trick.

Yes you have a birds nest , Its simple and what can I offer but if its working leave it alone . Are you a tech ? I can add
